Tim Banks – Summer Update

As summer fills the air, the Octagon team have had an active start to the year, barely pausing to draw breath since the beginning of 2022.

So we’ll begin with the latest news first; Octagon have recently acquired Hampton Court Estate, a highly desirable 1.59 acre brownfield site in Thames Ditton, just a short distance from Hampton Court Station and village. We have full planning permission to replace the existing empty commercial warehousing with 78 apartments, 8 of which will be for shared ownership. This exciting new development will be built under the Chancery Homes division, our upper mid-market brand which launched last year with Burnham Court in Buckinghamshire – where just the new 1 bedroom Show Apartment remains available at £285,000.

May saw the launch of Phase Four of Broadoaks Park in West Byfleet, a much-anticipated collection of spacious family houses. With over 50% of homes already reserved or sold, Broadoaks Park is firmly establishing itself as one of our most successful developments ever. The next release of brand new houses and apartments, Phase Five, is due to launch late summer – early interest can be registered with our on-site Sales Team.

A hotly anticipated launch for 2022, the apartments at Chapel View on Church Road in East Molesey attracted some extraordinary early reservations, with just 3 apartments now remaining – prices from £750,000. Sympathetically designed to mirror the surrounding traditional Victorian properties, each home enjoys private off-street parking and communal gardens. 

With these rapid sales, The Octagon Group continue to seek new land opportunities – we are looking for everything from an individual plot to something more substantial for multiple units, so please do get in touch with our Land Directors if you own or know of land becoming available.

Our continued success is in no small part due to the Octagon team, both at head office and on all our sites. The team has continued to expand rapidly in the past six months, and we are delighted to be welcoming three new members of the team across our various divisions by the end of summer. Finally, we’ve just about found time to celebrate our successes and once again start the Octagon social calendar that has been firmly on hold for the past two years. Following our very relaxed ‘Christmas in Spring’ full company party in May, we have had the pleasure of hosting some of our agent friends at both Ascot Racecourse and on the Solent in the past few weeks, chartering a sailing boat and enjoying the heatwave during a day trip to the Isle of Wight.
