‘Tis the season… to plan your next project

Laurence Holder, Head of Octagon Bespoke, explains; “Often, clients tell us they’d like to wait until spring to begin their Bespoke project, as they think that’s the best time to start the building works because of better weather conditions. While that’s absolutely true, there are lots of elements that need completing before any works on site can begin – in addition to the actual design, there’s also planning applications to submit, party wall agreements to get approved, ecology restrictions to consider and build applications to begin.”

“We’d always suggest ‘starting’ as early as possible, and winter is a great time to get these elements sorted and under your belt. That way, all going well, you can start the actual build as soon as the weather picks up.”
