Purpose of Role
The role will be part of the Customer Care team and will be required to attend maintenance works and rectify where possible in all properties built, converted or developed by the company as directed by the customer care team or a director.
Key Responsibilities
- To investigate the course and defects and report all findings to the customer care team or a director.
- To attend the property as directed and liaise with the purchaser and customer care team so as to co-ordinate the carrying out of the remedial works as speedily and efficiently as possible, including bringing in specialist subcontractors where required.
- To acquire, collect or buy materials and goods as required for the carrying out the necessary maintenance works and accounts with invoices for any purchases made.
- To always politely respond and liaise with the purchaser when dealing with complaints of any defects, alleged or actual, and operate within the property with consideration, care and cleanliness where the remedial work is required and carried out
- General duties may include painting and decorating work in order to repair settlement cracks in walls and ceilings, woodworking skills for adjustment of internal doors and locks, skirtings, stairs knowledge of basic plumbing to enable the testing and investigation of leaks and electrical issues and silicon and mastic work.
Key Skills
- A good knowledge of at least one of the main trades, i.e. painting, plastering, carpentry etc.
- A good general knowledge of the building trade.
- Excellent customer communication skills.
- Highly motivates with the ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines
- Punctual, reliable and flexible
- Hold a current full driving licence.
- Must be prepared to travel wherever our sites are located.
- It is essential that you work well on an individual basis and as part of a team.
