An update from Tim Banks, CEO of Octagon


We seem to be hurtling towards year end with some unexpected bonuses here in the Octagon Group.

All our brands are performing well; Octagon Bespoke has expanded not just with its project numbers, but also geographical locations –  currently stretching from deepest Kent and Surrey  through prime London postcodes SW3,W1, NW8, and N6, and out to Essex, Bucks and Berks. There is no shortage of clients wishing to invest in a design & build new home of their own, and many are pushing the boundaries in what they want from their property, requiring every bit of expertise our Bespoke team offers. Notable highlights have been an Olympic-style leisure complex, and a couple of ultra-contemporary properties, one in Surrey, the other in North London, that could earn themselves starring roles in the next series of Grand Designs.

We have recently begun construction of nine new two bedroom apartments called Chapel View in East Molesey, located  just a few minutes from our Head Office on the banks of the River Thames. In a prominent position on Church Road, opposite St. Paul’s Church, these luxury apartments received an influx of enquiries as soon as the Octagon signage went up this Spring, with a significant number of prospective owners, many of whom are downsizers, keen to secure their preferred apartment off-plan. Scheduled to be completed by Summer 2022, we have already sold or reserved four of the apartments with just five left available.

Our flagship development Broadoaks Park in West Byfleet is looking more magnificent by the day, and already home to a wonderful community. All homes within the first three phases are either sold or reserved, with a patient queue of viewers awaiting the release on the next phase. Launching in January 2022, phase 4 will feature a collection of 21 large, detached houses.

This interest has triggered serious demand for the services of our interior design division, which is welcoming new additions to the interior design team in the New Year.  From modern and contemporary to shabby chic, Octagon clients and their respective homes embody a variety of interior tastes, which is a fantastic challenge for the team, as they take on everything from a two-bedroom apartment to a 12,000 sq ft super mansion.

The launch site for our mid-market brand, Chancery is proving a great success with 40% of the homes sold before build completion in the summer of 2022. We are actively looking to expand this brand with a few exciting developments already identified, including an apartment scheme in Elmbridge, Surrey.
