Octagon Report Record January Sales

23/02/2020

Octagon have announced a record number of sales this January, with eight reservations made throughout the first four weeks of 2020, totalling over £15m.

Widely regarded as a quiet month for sales, the January flurry shows demand for the variety of homes currently available from the luxury housebuilder – the reserved properties range in value from £625,000 to £3.5m, and include two bedroom apartments through to five bedroom townhouses.

Tim Banks, CEO of Octagon Developments, comments; “The Octagon team are thrilled to have started the new decade with such a burst of reservations – and across just two of our currently live developments.

“It’s no secret that the property market as a whole struggled last year, but we have seen a promising increase in viewings across all our live and upcoming sites since the general election in December, with our sales teams taking multiple appointments in the first few days of January. To have sold such a variety of properties at very different price points, to us shows the confidence that’s being restored in the industry as a whole, and as we look to launch yet more one off homes and multi-unit developments this year, we hope this confidence continues.”

The luxury housebuilder’s flagship development in West Byfleet, Broadoaks Park, had a busy start to the year, with five homes reserved in quick succession and just a handful remaining in the first phase. Just a short walk to West Byfleet train station, the 25 acre site will eventually house 125 properties within landscaped grounds, including a meticulously restored and converted Grade II listed manor house, coach house and lodges. Phase 2 at Broadoaks Park is due to launch this spring.

The additional three reservations were at Bishops Row, Octagon’s supersized townhouses alongside the banks of the River Thames in Fulham. Boasting 4/5 bedrooms and four reception rooms across five floors, the elegant homes offer views of the Thames and Barnes Wetlands Centre from multiple balconies and roof terraces. Just four homes now remain, with prices from £3.3m.
