Triple Win For Octagon

01/12/2014

Octagon, the Surrey-based niche developer of high end luxury homes walked away with three top gongs at the 2014 What House Awards, the hotly contested ‘Oscars’ of the building industry.

Masterpiece of Stylish Living

Their show stopping Best Luxury House entry Crossacres, on The Wentworth Estate in Surrey, one of the winners, caught the Judges’ eye for its understated cool elegance, and voted it “an assured masterpiece of stylish living”. The 15,000 sq ft 7 bedroom house sits in a 2.3 acre plot, and Octagon pushed the boundaries even further, by adding both indoor and outdoor heated pools, the latter creating a sensational ornamental water feature in the stunning fully landscaped gardens.

Remarkable Attention To Detail

Best Luxury Development was bestowed on Long Walk Villas , Octagon’s first development of elegant townhouses in the heart of conservation Windsor , opposite the historic Long Walk. The super-sized 5 bedroom villas, where the judges commented that ‘the classic architectural detailing, from elegant brick exteriors and stone dressings to bespoke joinery is testament to a remarkable attention to detail’, offer intelligently planned, flexible accommodation. The addition of integral garages, off street parking, and private roof terraces with far reaching views of Windsor Great Park and the Royal Castle made these homes winning material.

One of the Highest Profile Operators

Probably the ultimate accolade for Octagon was Best Small Housebuilder, considered by the Judges as ‘one of the highest profile operators at the luxury end of the residential game who continue to delight and inform with its opulent products.

As Colin Tutt, Octagon’s CEO commented upon receiving the award,

“ We have been specialists in luxury housebuilding for 35 years, during which time, we have been fortunate to have received over 200 trophies and certificates, and some of our most favourites are naturally, the What House Awards. But never ones to rest on our laurels, our dedicated in house team are already busy creating even more fabulous homes, some of which will be ready for next year’s entries. So watch out competitors, Octagon are intending to sweep the board in 2015!”
