Octagon houses have always appeared larger than average, which is to be expected when creating homes for the top of the market. The niche operator who specialise in high value homes, generally within the M25, saw a steady stream of purchasers advance across all regions, from the private gated estates of Wentworth and St Georges Hill, into South West London’s Richmond, and across to North London's The Bishops Avenue, and extending in to the leafy enclaves of Hertfordshire.

The speed of some of the transactions have been quite remarkable, particularly two attended exchanges on a £5.5 m property on the Wentworth Estate, Virginia Water and a £5.6m property in Radlett, which set a new record for property values in the area. Concurrently, an exchange went through on another £6m mini mansion on the exclusive St Georges Hill Estate, giving rise to local agents' claims that their golden Surrey triangle has returned to pre 2009 trading rhythms. Added to which SW London’s regal Richmond has lured back the City professionals, as they scramble to buy one or even two of Octagon's elegant £1.5-£2m townhouses, now released in the final phase at the multi award winning Richmond Lock development.

David James, Octagon Chairman comments,

"We are fortunate enough to be operating in the best areas that always spearhead a property recovery. Usually, the first to be affected when a slow down starts, top end property is the first to bounce back as affluent private owners and investors return to what they like buying best, quality homes in prime locations."

Future Octagon sites featuring 5 and 6 bedroom houses are underway in Esher, Weybridge, Kingswood, Lingfield, Loudwater, Stanmore and Totteridge, along with their first ever development in Dorset, set on the brow of Canford Cliffs, with stunning views over Poole harbour.
