Tea with the Countess

Gordon House, Octagon’s superbly renovated Grade II listed house on the River Thames at Richmond, was the perfect location for Raine, Countess Spencer’s (seen here with Octagon’s CEO Colin Tutt), afternoon tea and talk on historic Richmond, which included titillating details on the former owners of Gordon House.
Harrods Estates, one of the appointed agents, had invited a number of their special customers to the event, so that they could learn more about this amazing property, which has a fine Robert Adam drawing room and the longest riverfront of any London private residence on the Thames.
Laduree, the exclusive Parisian patisserie, provided the tea, quintessentially English, but with a fine Gallic finale , the famous and delectable Laduree macaroons.
Guests enjoyed leisurely tours of the main building, along with the charming annexes, a restored chapel and coach house, both now converted into studio and living accommodation.
